How to Accessorise a Monochrome Kids Room

Monochrome styling is chic when it comes to modern home interiors. The balanced feel of a monochrome room will be complemented by your child’s vibrant toy collection as they are naturally drawn to colours and patterns.

All furnishings can add to the monochrome decor, from the practical furniture and storage to the playful accessories.

Aim to introduce furniture first with natural wood and black or white features, like the Double-O Chair and Half-Moon Table by ooh noo, the Kids Desk and Chair with coloured metal legs by In2Wood or all-white with the Mouse Table and Mouse Chair by Nofred.

Next, make storage fun with the Plane and Cloud shelves by Noodoll to display soft toys.

Storage bags and baskets are perfect for accessorising, display them on the Pieni Coat Rack by OYOY Mini, or on wooden hooks with cute faced characters or oversized alphabet letters.

The House No. 1 and House No. 2 Storage Bags by Rock and Pebble are ideal for cherished toys that can be tucked into their house and locked with the drawstring and key.

Hanging wall features, such as canvases and art prints, are unique accessories that convey personality, our favourites are the Height Charts and the bold prints by Mini Learners.

Lastly, consider The World, Cat Zorro or Adventure rugs by OYOY Mini for kids to treasure.

The bold prints can be offset by a beautiful bedding with gold trim in pale blue or rose, or the ever charming Fawn bedding set in white and grey by Rose in April.

Choose stylish wooden and soft toys to complete the look with the gorgeous Penguin Pingo and the moon shaped Doll Pram.
